Introducing its largest selection of plastic enclosures yet, Deltron Enclosures has added two new multipurpose ranges to its product portfolio.
Manufactured from high-grade polycarbonate or ABS, they are ideal for safe-housing electronic components when a durable, high performance enclosure is required.
Steve Clarke, Business Development Manager at Deltron Enclosures commented; “Typically, plastic enclosures were used for indoor applications due to their lack of resistance to weathering. However, as engineering has become more advanced, plastics have developed into an increasingly attractive option with more advantages.
“Our new polycarbonate range possesses many beneficial properties; capable of withstanding extremely high and low temperatures, with good resistance to oils and UV, high impact endurance and an aesthetically pleasing finish. When combined with ingress protection, they become a cost effective choice for outdoor locations.
“Engineers will also benefit from these ranges if the weight of a metal enclosure cannot be supported, if the project budget is stretched or when concerns are raised regarding electrical arcing, as plastic does not conduct electricity.”
22 sizes are available in Polycarbonate or ABS, both with self-tapping stand-offs and a quick release fastener. Deltron Enclosures can also machine and populate the enclosures with the relevant components in preparation for their installation.
Ideal for indoor or outdoor placement, applications can include industrial automation such as switches, membrane key pads and LCD displays, plus sensors, lighting, measurement and analysis instrumentation, medical apparatus and more.
