Weller’s PRISMA ESD-safe microscope is now available on the Conrad Sourcing Platform, combining 3D visualisation, an ergonomic design and protection for sensitive components to support nano-soldering, rework and electronics inspection…
Over recent decades, electronic components have become smaller and more complex, making nano-soldering increasingly challenging. Reliable tools are essential for accurately and profitably manufacturing, inspecting and reworking electronic parts. With its innovative technology and a design that supports user comfort even during lengthy tasks, Weller’s PRISMA ESD-safe microscope makes these processes possible.
Nano vision
Inspecting and reworking printed circuit boards, particularly their solder pads, requires visibility down to the smallest detail. Bright, natural 7000K LED lighting and a large field of view provide clear 3D stereo viewing, allowing users to assess the height, position and shape of complex PCB components and identify and replace faulty subminiature parts promptly.
Work ergonomics
The design of the PRISMA ESD-safe microscope centres on user comfort and ease of use. One of its standout features is the absence of traditional ocular lenses. The new eyepiece design protects users’ eyes during lengthy working periods, both with and without eyewear.
The microscope lenses are interchangeable to meet project-specific requirements. Hands-free scanning facilitates the inspection and soldering of nanoscale electronics. The universal arm and adjustable viewing position improve body posture, helping users stay focused during extended inspection tasks.
ESD protection for sensitive components
The PRISMA features an ESD-safe design that minimises the risk of damage to sensitive components during manufacturing and rework.
Workplace performance
The PRISMA ESD-safe microscope integrates into existing workstations and working procedures. Compatibility with Weller’s soldering stations and fume extractors also enables workflow scalability and coordination, boosting efficiency and productivity.
“The release of the PRISMA constitutes an important milestone for our company,” says Marcel Teller, Senior Director at Weller Tools Global. “We not only tackle a new product category, we also made real progress towards our long-term vision, namely providing comprehensive all-inclusive workplace solutions aimed at the future of electronics manufacturing.”
