Entries are now open for the brand-new Academic Support & Training Award category at the 2026 Instrumentation & Electronics Awards, recognising the organisations, initiatives and programmes helping to develop future talent across the instrumentation, electronics and engineering sectors. Adapted from the 2025 Academic Support award, the category reflects the growing importance of skills development, technical education and industry collaboration in supporting the next generation of engineers and technology professionals.
The category is designed to celebrate organisations that are making a meaningful contribution to training, education and professional development, whether through apprenticeships, industry partnerships, specialist courses, outreach programmes or technical learning initiatives. From manufacturers and training providers through to universities, colleges and engineering organisations, the award highlights those helping to close skills gaps and strengthen the future of the industry.
Following the successful launch of the combined Instrumentation & Electronics Awards format in 2025, the 2026 programme is expected to attract entries from across the instrumentation and electronics sectors, offering organisations an opportunity to gain industry-wide recognition for their commitment to education, training and workforce development.
