TestEquity, a leading provider of test and measurement (T&M) solutions, electronics production supplies, and value-added services, has announced the appointment of Jamie Furness as Vice President of Europe, a strategic role that will drive the company’s next phase of growth across the region.
With more than 20 years of experience in the electronic components industry, Jamie brings extensive expertise in distribution, supplier engagement, and scaling operations across EMEA and globally. In his new role, he will lead TestEquity’s European expansion strategy, focusing on building high-performing, cross-functional teams, strengthening supplier partnerships, and enhancing the value delivered to customers across the T&M landscape.
His appointment is already delivering impact, with early progress in strengthening key supplier relationships, including re-establishing engagement with leading partners. This momentum reflects Jamie’s proven ability to unlock growth through collaboration and strategic alignment across the supply chain.
Jamie has held senior leadership roles at Farnell, where he developed deep expertise in e-commerce and T&M; Schaffner, serving as Distribution Sales Manager for EMEA (EMC/RF); TE Connectivity, contributing to globalisation initiatives; and Anderson Power, where he led a European sales organisation.
Jamie Furness, Vice President Europe at TestEquity, said: “I am thrilled to take on this role and support TestEquity’s continued growth across Europe. The region is home to some of the world’s most innovative engineering communities, and our focus is on delivering real value – combining technical expertise, strong supplier partnerships, and flexible solutions to help customers solve complex challenges and accelerate innovation.”
TestEquity’s European platform has been strengthened through key acquisitions, including TestEquity GmbH (formerly Instrumex) in December 2022 and MCS Test Equipment in the UK in July 2021. Under Jamie’s leadership, these capabilities will be further integrated to create a more connected, agile organisation, enabling closer collaboration between commercial, technical, and operational teams across the UK and Europe.
This approach ensures customers benefit from faster access to products, support and technical capabilities, supported by local expertise in both the UK and Germany, and backed by strong supplier relationships and new innovative e-commerce solutions. By combining in-house technical knowledge with direct access to manufacturer support, TestEquity can deliver agnostic, best-fit solutions tailored to specific applications, industries, and project requirements.
TestEquity’s offering goes beyond product supply, focusing on delivering measurable outcomes for customers. Its portfolio includes new and pre-certified used equipment, rental solutions, and calibration services – designed to reduce time to solution, improve flexibility, and optimise investment for engineering teams at every stage of design, testing, and production.
Central to this is a balanced approach that combines a best-in-class e-commerce platform for streamlined procurement with dedicated technical sales and support teams, ensuring customers receive both speed and specialist guidance for more complex projects.
Jamie’s appointment marks a key step in advancing TestEquity’s vision to become a truly solution-driven partner across Europe – strengthening collaboration across teams, deepening supplier engagement, and delivering greater value to customers through technical excellence and market insight.
Jamie added, “Our ethos is built on partnership and innovation. By leveraging our technical expertise, supplier relationships, and distribution capabilities, we are focused on delivering tailored, high-impact solutions that meet the evolving needs of engineers across Europe.”
