RS will share insights on the challenges and topics pertinent to the UK engineering industry at Advanced Engineering, 2-3 November, at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. RS will be exhibiting on stand E89.
With experts in attendance to cover key themes including the digitisation of maintenance and effective procurement, in keynote speeches, RS will also bring its maintenance solutions offering to life with demonstrations of condition monitoring equipment, as well as showcasing the importance of managing lubrication effectively.
Team BRIT – the all-disabled race team sponsored by RS – will be on the stand with their simulation racing arm, which will facilitate a competition across the two days for the fastest lap. The prize for the winner is £250 to spend on products on the RS website. Team BRIT is a competitive racing team that supports people with physical and psychological challenges in accessing motorsport – and using parts sourced through RS, the team has developed the world’s most advanced hand control technology to enable disabled drivers to compete on equal terms.
Simon Fletcher, Sales Director for RS UK & Ireland, said: “With the current challenges the UK engineering industry is facing, businesses need to find ways to procure more effectively, and remove unnecessary distractions that can prevent the engineering community from focussing on their primary roles. Another key area affecting engineering and manufacturing businesses is effective maintenance, so creating a maintenance strategy that will reduce downtime, save money and generate efficiencies is something they should be prioritising. We have plenty of experts and solutions to help in that crucial and evolving mission.
“We’re looking forward to providing advice, guidance and insights that will enable engineers to engineer, and there’s no better forum for this than the Advanced Engineering show, which is established and recognised as a key event in the calendar for all those involved in the UK engineering and manufacturing supply chain,” he added.
