RS Components launches new local service and innovation centre in Bermondsey

RS Components (RS) has relocated its Bow branch from the existing site on the Old Ford Trading Centre on Maverton Road, London, to a new unit a short distance away on the Surrey Canal Trading Estate in Bermondsey.

The opening marks an exciting development which will see a transformation of the existing branch network. The new sites, branded RS Local, will have a product and service offer to support engineers locally across the design, build and maintain phases of the product life cycle.

As part of its commitment to provide an excellent customer experience, the relocation signifies a major investment by RS into its branch network offer, with the new site featuring interactive displays and videos to illustrate the value-added services offered to customers. RS will continue to deliver the same level of excellent customer experience for which it has become renowned, and the same wide range of products will be available to collect to meet local demand.

The brand new, purpose-designed premises are situated just south of the River Thames, with close links to South Bermondsey and Surrey Quays stations. RS Bermondsey – London will stock thousands of products to meet local demand, and customers will continue to enjoy the call and collect service.

Mike England, Managing Director, RS Northern Europe said: “Supporting customers through every phase, we will be showcasing innovative solutions at the new service centre to help them design, build, maintain and protect. From our free DesignSpark software to IoT smart factory and building solutions, there will be technical representatives available to discuss their requirements. We are very excited with this new phase of our branches being adapted to match our customers’ expectations, and hope that our London customers are able to take notice of how RS is adding value to their purchase.”
