Time is money, and the versatile KES cable entry system from Conta-Clip saves valuable installation time by allowing users to equip control cabinets and enclosures in seconds. Conta-Clip is continuously expanding its range and has now added round cable entries with stepped cones for cables and wires without plugs. The entries can either be snapped into place or secured with a lock nut.

The KES-R M Konus round cable entries accommodate cables with outer diameters ranging from 3 mm to 50 mm. They are particularly suitable for applications where the exact cable diameters have not yet been defined during the design stage.

With their distinctive 12-corner profile, the round cable entries can be snapped directly from the outside into round metric cutouts ranging from M25 to M63. They fit wall thicknesses between 1.0 mm and 2.5 mm and provide IP54 ingress protection.

For larger wall thicknesses of up to 11 mm, or where a higher level of protection is required, the same round cable entries can be secured with a lock nut to provide ingress protection up to IP66.

In practical applications, the cable diameter is determined before the appropriate step of the cone is opened with a clean cut. Each of the round cable entries features diameter markings, and the marking corresponding to the inserted cable should remain visible after cutting.

The silicone-free and halogen-free material combination of TPE and glass-fibre-reinforced polyamide 6.6 provides tightness and stability. The KES-R M Konus series comprises five sizes for metric cutouts ranging from M25 to M63. These round cable entries enable cables with diameters from 3 mm to 50 mm to be sealed flexibly and reliably.
