Held on 15 September, in the dramatic environment of Oulton Park racetrack, this event combined hands-on exhibits of next-generation automation and controls technologies, expert-led seminar sessions and practical application support.
Underwoods recognise that ageing automation systems are becoming harder to support, secure & maintain. This event helped visitors explore practical routes towards automation modernisation, improving reliability, identifying efficiencies, bolstering security resilience, accelerating digitalisation and keeping pace with the changing regulatory landscape with greater confidence.

We were pleased to demonstrate some of our innovative IIoT technology, including:
MetronM – Launched this year, MetronM is an amazing multi-purpose IIoT gateway, which delivers rich, reliable, digital data via RS485 Modbus RTU from PLCs, meters, HMIs, smart sensors, drives and machines. What does the ‘M’ stand for? Well, primarily it’s for Modbus, but it could be for Machines, Modules, Maintenance, Meters or Motors.

MetronTANKHUB  – Also new for 2026, PowTechnology’s MetronTANKHUB is the smart solution for remote and local tank level monitoring of up to 8 tanks. The versatile full-colour local display offers overviews, individual tank detail, local alerts and configuration data.
This multi-tank level telemetry solution is self-contained, weatherproof and compatible with 1000’s of level sensors. Data is transmitted via the mobile phone network, securely to the internet. Alerts are available wherever needed and data can be used for smart logistics, vendor managed inventory, purchasing and maintenance.
Metron TankHub is remotely programmable (data intervals, scaling with linearisation, units, tag names, thresholds etc). It’s extremely simple to configure and install, making it ideal for new sites and easy retrofit.

Metron5 – PowTechnology’s flagship telemetry device has evolved over 21 years! Our latest Metron5 sensor gateway was introduced in 2025. It’s 5G ready, incorporates innovative modem management and comes with a processor that supports on-the-edge processing, extended data logging and integration with additional sensors via MODBUS.
Once securely connected to an industrial sensor, the Metron5 sensor gateway captures and processes incoming analogue or digital signals and securely transmits collected data over a mobile network. Raw data is then delivered to PowTechnology’s MetronVIEW platform  MetronView platform. Users are able to log in to MetronView to see live readings, trends and historical information. This information can be analysed, interpreted and used to initiate automations and send alarms.
