It’s hard to believe it’s July already! We asked PowTechnology CEO, Dave Oakes for his thoughts at half year 2026.
“Pow-Wow indeed! 2026 has been an exhilarating ride! Another year defined by unprecedented growth and success!
Once again, PowTechnology has seen ‘best ever’ months in terms of sales, enquiries and order book, but also massive investment into production facilities, product innovation and expansion into exciting new sectors and application areas.
Expanding Our Production Facilities
I’m delighted to say that PowTechnology has sold, built and delivered more telemetry units than ever before! 2026 has seen us double our production capacity to comfortably accommodate a continuation of this trajectory. place looks amazing and I’m loving giving our visitors ‘the tour’!
The expanded facility allows us to manufacture, configure and dispatch systems at growing volumes, whilst always maintaining the exceptional quality and reliability that we’re so well known for.
This significant investment ensures that PowTechnology can support the increasing number high-volume rollouts and also the complex, multi-site deployments we are attracting, particularly across bulk distribution, utilities and industrial manufacturing.
Expanding Our Team
Alongside operational growth, PowTechnology has continued it’s heritage of investing in its people. The sales team has expanded to engage new markets, whilst always maintaining the close relationships with existing customers that have always differentiated us.
The expanded team brings a renewed focus on high-value applications, particularly in tank level monitoring for fuels, chemicals, AdBlue and other bulk liquids, areas where PowTechnology has built a strong reputation for delivering demonstrable benefits.
As well as benefiting from new blood, PowTechnology have continued to recognise the effort, energy and expertise of longer-serving colleagues. I’m particularly proud of Nicole Lowe, who joined us from college. Now, 15 years later, with a wealth of hands-on and formal professional development, she is our Operations Manager!
PowTechnology As IIoT Innovators
In terms of new digital transformation technology, PowTechnology’s MetronM was launched in February. An instant hit, this multi-purpose IIoT gateway delivers rich, reliable, digital data via RS485 Modbus RTU. It reports from a broad range of slaves, including PLCs, meters, HMIs, smart sensors, drives and machines, making it perfect for utility and condition monitoring.
In line with most of our product development, it effectively blends IT and OT to deliver operational benefits from productivity to planning … safety to sustainability … collaboration to compliance … maintenance to market leadership!
We’re about to launch our ground-breaking TankHub, which can monitor up to eight tanks, with full-colour local display as well as remote levels and alarms. As always, our smart solutions are designed to make life easy for end-users. It’s super-simple to configure and install.
In addition to creating new IIoT solutions, PowTechnology are constantly upgrading existing products, incorporating enhanced connectivity and more intuitive user interfaces.
Our aim is always to help customers to deploy, manage and scale remote monitoring solutions as easily as possible across their operations, overcoming the traditional barriers to adoption, such as cost, complexity and culture.
Crucially, PowTechnology are not just making noise in the media-circus that surrounds digital transformation and AI. Our innovations are focused on delivering real-world outcomes: reducing operational risk, improving visibility, driving efficiency and supporting compliance across critical infrastructure.

I particularly enjoyed the presentation delivered by Will Brown, IIoT Solutions Manager at this year’s CHEMUK show.
Will is a charismatic presenter with a great capacity for incisive and original thought. His topic was ” Industrial IoT: Practical Pathways To Power Past Pilot Purgatory” and he offered a clear insight into overcoming barriers to deliver real solutions for real operational issues.

If you follow our social media, you’ll have noticed a full diary of events, including customer product training, tech talks and some amazing events, such as Manufacturing Technology 2Day, Automation NEXT, Tech Show London, UKIFDA, MACH2026, CHEMUK, Water Equipment Show, Smart Manufacturing and Food and Beverage Engineering.
Even in these days of digital communication, there is nothing like meeting people face to face!
