Data Translation has released a new generation of stand-alone data acquisition modules. The DT7837 ARM-based embedded solution is designed for vibration and acoustic measurement applications. The module provides an ARM Cortex-A8 and interfaces for Ethernet, USB host/client and a microSD card.
Four 24-bit A/D inputs with programmable IEPE sensor support allow simultaneous sampling up to 105.4 kS/s. The ultra-accurate, low-noise measurement data can be processed on-board in real time. Key features include a 24-bit analog output, tachometer input, and various digital I/O, counter/timer and trigger functions.
Programmers have full access to the open source Linux 3.12 ARM platform. The computer comes with embedded Debian Linux and loadable kernel modules for the specific measurement features.
