Listen up, because Brüel & Kjær announce their new acoustic training courses for 2014

The 2014 Brüel & Kjær training calendar for the UK, which offers a range of acoustic and vibration classes, is now available.

New for this year is the Acoustic and Vibration Introduction for Design and Test Engineers. This is a three-day course intended to give industrial engineers a thorough understanding of the basic concepts that are important for both airborne and structure-borne noise and vibration in machinery. The course helps attendees to understand the basic principles, enabling them to distinguish the different aspects of noise and vibration generation, plus transmission and ultimately apply these principles in practice.

The Theory and Practice of Noise Measurement course is suited for environmental practitioners and consultants who may be unfamiliar with the basics of acoustic measurement. This is a two day session looking to provide a basic understanding of acoustic and measurement principles, encompassing many applications such as noise abatement, product labelling and building acoustics. Attendees will learn to carry out a variety of noise measurements, correct set-up of measuring instruments and assessment of noise reports.

For those involved with vibration measurement, the company offers a Vibration Testing for Engineers and Technicians course, which provides a practical introduction explaining how to interpret vibration test specifications and apply them to a vibration test system. It’s designed for engineers new to the field of vibration testing, but it is also a useful refresher for more experienced users.

Brüel & Kjær also has a full calendar of free, online training sessions called webinars, running throughout the year, presented by its technical experts.
