A new ATEX approved wireless transmitter will be launched by Industrial Interface at the Sensors & Instrumentation exhibition at the NEC on the 30th September.
The ZHEAD-A can be supplied as a complete unit with a wide range of sensors including Pressure and Temperature.
Alternatively it can be programmed using a standard USB connection to accept virtually all sensor types including thermocouple and RTD temperature sensors, pressure and level sensors, strain gauges and load cells.
Digital inputs from switches or flow meters can also be connected.
The ZHEAD-ATEX unit can be sited in any Zone 0 Gas or Zone 20 Dust Hazardous area and ATEX approved repeaters can be used to extend the range of the system where necessary.
This ATEX wireless system allows sensors to be sited more quickly and more cost effectively than conventional wired sensors. It also allows sensors to be mounted on rotating equipment or in difficult to reach locations.
A typical range for these sensors is up to 1000m and battery life is greater than 5 years for a 10 second transmission rate.
The system can be employed in tree or mesh networks and a wide range of safe area receivers are available with either RS232/485 or Ethernet TCP/IP communications outputs.
There are also receivers with 4-20mA analogue and relay digital outputs to enable simple wireless instrumentation loops to be deployed.
The unit is housed in a bespoke enclosure which enables mounting of the transmitter in any orientation.
We will also be exhibiting our range of Ethernet I/O modules, non-IS wireless transmitters, Remote Asset Monitoring equipment and our industry standard range of DIN rail Signal Conditioners and Trip Amplifiers.
I look forward to demonstrating these products on our Stand A32 at the exhibition but if you can’t make it there and would like some information please email using sales@industrialinterface.co.uk or visit our website www.industrialinterface.co.uk
