HBM webinar looks at technical possibilities of mobile DAQ systems

Following on from a successful series of training and webinars from its academy, HBM – a market leader in the field of test and measurement – has announced the date for its next webinar, which will take place on the June 15th at 2pm.

From a truck transporting material, a tractor ploughing the dusty expanses of a wheat field, to an off road racing car performing under extreme conditions, each of these scenarios share a series of common measurement requirements – which is the need to withstand field testing, provide accurate and repeatable measurements, and to be able to acquire data over the web.

As each individual project features its own unique requirements, when it comes to vehicle tests and inspection, mobile data acquisition can be challenging.  In the latest ‘Advantages of a distributable and robust DAQ system for the development of vehicles’ webinar from the HBM Academy, Finn Lange, Product Manager for ultra-rugged Data Acquisition Systems, explains some of the technical possibilities of mobile data acquisition systems.

Providing valuable expertise and advice, this webinar will look at a variety of application examples to illustrate how participants can get the most from their measurement requirements; for instance, the advantages of utilising a distributable system for the testing of a crane and a harvester.

As test engineers require highly precise and repeatable test results, which often need to be acquired in adverse and harsh conditions, testing off-road vehicles can often present a challenge.  However, with more and more emphasis being placed on improving performance, the need to utilise a modern data acquisition system which offers a reliable and robust measurement capability, which can be easily adapted to perform a variety of measurement tasks, under a variety of conditions, seems to be the most obvious solution – good measurement data is, after all, essential for optimising designs.

‘Advantages of a distributable and robust DAQ system for the development of vehicles’ will run for a maximum of 30 minutes and can be easily accessed at a later date or simply used as a refresher course.  As an added benefit, all registered attendees will receive a link to the webinar, via email, after the presentation.

All HBM webinars are free of charge and open to anyone.  Spaces are limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Please reserve your spot by booking at the link www.hbm.com/en/3157/webinars
