Free webinar highlights importance of efficiency in test and measurement

HBM is offering a free on-line webinar on Thursday, 23rd January, that will examine the importance of obtaining data efficiently in test and measurement applications. Major topics for discussion will include the use of universal measurement devices designed to obtain results rapidly and reliably so as to improve flexibility. The hour-long presentation will be followed by a question and answer session with each part of the webinar lasting 30 minutes.<

HBM’s expert on QuantumX, Christof Salcher, will conduct the webinar in English. The webinar, which will start at 10am GMT, will introduce HBM’s QuantumX data acquisition system and debate how engineers can accurately acquire mechanical, electrical and thermal quantities within the constraints of modern test and measurement programmes.

HBM’s QuantumX is a universal data acquisition system that features 24-bit A/D converter on each channel along with Advanced Plug and Measure (APM) for immediate setup and measurement while supporting all current transducer technologies.

QuantumX is available in a number of different models to suit specific applications. These included the QuantumX MX840A that is an 8-channel universal amplifier with 24-bit resolution making it ideally suited for all common transducer technologies. Alternatively the QuantumX MX460 is available as an ultra-rugged model making it particularly suitable for use in harsh environments.

The webinar will consider the value in being able to easily upgrade measuring systems with additional synchronized modules to further improve flexibility. Individual modules can, for example, be fitted close to their respective measuring points enabling engineers to use a distributed system that reduces while increasing measurement quality through early digitization.
