The REELTEC series includes shielded and unshielded cables suitable for reeling applications where robust and durable performance is required. Through its REELTEC FIBER product family, TKD Kabel supplies fibre-optic cables that support optical data and signal transmission in both horizontal and vertical reeling operations.
This capability is particularly important in hoisting equipment and conveyor systems. TKD Kabel can equip these systems for a wide range of applications, including industrial facilities, ports and theatre stages. The minimum bend radius is 8 × d for fixed applications and 15 × d for moving applications. REELTEC FIBER cables can operate at speeds of up to 120 m/min.
Designed for festoon systems: FESTOONTEC FIBER
With FESTOONTEC, TKD Kabel offers shielded and unshielded power and control cables developed specifically for the high bending frequencies associated with drag applications. The FESTOONTEC FIBER product family provides the same capabilities for optical data and signal transmission.
The minimum bend radius is 8 × d for stationary applications and 10 × d for moving applications, including cable trolleys. These fibre-optic cables can operate at speeds of up to 240 m/min.
These characteristics make FESTOONTEC FIBER suitable for cable trolleys, moving components in machine tools, conveyor systems and other dynamic industrial applications.
Available pre-terminated
The REELTEC FIBER and FESTOONTEC FIBER fibre-optic cables can withstand tensile forces of up to 1,000 N. Their robust PUR sheaths make them suitable for harsh industrial environments and outdoor installations. Both product families are halogen-free and resistant to UV radiation, ozone and moisture.
The cables are also available pre-terminated. Through its CONNECTivity termination service, TKD Kabel prepares each cable for its intended application and delivers it ready for connection. This saves valuable installation time at the machine, as the cables can be connected easily and used immediately.
