Engineering software for students will be demonstrated at the ASEE conference

Agilent Technologies has announced it will demonstrate BenchVue software and the Agilent RF and Microwave Industry-Ready Student Certification Program at the 121st Annual American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Conference and Exposition, June 15th – 18th, at the Indiana Convention Center (Booth 1107) in Indianapolis.

Agilent’s BenchVue software offers engineering students an easy and intuitive way to view, capture and export measurement data from test instruments without the need for instrument programming. A companion mobile app further simplifies students’ work by letting them monitor and control tests remotely. BenchVue is compatible with Agilent DMMs, power supplies, function generators, spectrum analysers and oscilloscopes.

The Student Certification Program, a collaboration between universities and industry, recognises students who have demonstrated RF microwave design and measurement expertise. Students completing the program are recognised as certified Agilent RF microwave industry-ready students. The program demonstrates student’s competence to prospective employers and confirms universities’ interest in preparing students for future industry contributions. In conjunction with the certification program, Agilent will demonstrate its handheld RF and microwave analysers at ASEE.

In addition, Newark, an Agilent distribution partner, will show at ASEE a broad set of low-cost Agilent instruments for engineering lab environments. This includes a suite of handheld and bench DMMs, power supplies, a Truevolt digital multimeter, a TrueForm waveform generator, and the recently announced U5855A TrueIR thermal imager. Agilent also will show the latest family of value-priced oscilloscopes, which are ideally suited for the classroom environment. Prices start at $520 and include the entry-level 1000 Series and the 2000X, 3000X and 4000X Series scopes.

During the exhibition, Agilent will raffle off an InfiniiVision 3000 X-Series oscilloscope (valued at over $3,800) and two DMMs with IR-Bluetooth adapters (valued at over $400 each).
