CMR UK finance director joins EEF Board

Maureen Jamieson, the finance director of Newcastle-based instrumentation control and automation specialist CMR UK, has been appointed to the EEF Regional Advisory Board for the North East.

The move will see her working alongside other members to help regional engineering and manufacturing businesses share best practice and develop specific capabilities, while also advocating the achievements of North East industry.

CMR UK, which operates from the New York Way industrial estate, is part of the global CMR Group, which supplies smart instrumentation and wiring systems, integrated control and power management solutions for energy, marine and industry.

Maureen Jamieson said: “Engineering is vital to the region’s success, as is attracting and retaining the very best talent to secure future growth. I’m very much looking forward to working with the EEF in its critical role as an advocate of engineering, manufacturing and the North East.”

Richard Halstead, EEF membership director north, said: “Maureen has been a senior leader in local manufacturing for a while, so we were delighted when she accepted our invitation to join the board to represent CMR.

“The Regional Advisory Boards are an essential part of the structure of EEF and are essential in shaping our policy positions and ensuring we fully represent our members interests both in our own work, but also to government.”
