Looking for Innovations in Sensor and Measuring Technology
The AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement (AMA) invites developers and developer teams to compete for the AMA Innovation Award 2016. Submissions of innovative research and development projects in sensor and measuring technology are requested. The submission deadline is 14th January 2016.
Individuals as well as developer teams are requested to participate with innovative solutions from research and development with discernible market relevance. The AMA Innovation Award is endowed with a 10,000-euro prize. Also, enterprises may compete for the special Young Enterprise Award, which is endowed with a free trade-fair stand at the Sensor + Test 2016.
The AMA Innovation Award is among the most renowned prizes in sensor and measuring technology. It has been presented for sixteen years now for outstanding research and development achievements. The award goes to the developers themselves, not to the entities behind them. The jury comprises experts in sensor and measuring technology from universities, institutes, and enterprises. The jurors assess the submissions in regard to their novelty, scientific achievement, and their potential marketability.
“We get remarkable, innovative, and market-relevant submissions from all over the world every year,” says jury chair Professor Andreas Schütze from Saarland University. “Besides the solid developments from established enterprises and institutes, we always get exciting submissions from startups as well. To emphasize the significance of these young companies in the overall innovation process, we’ve created the Young Enterprise award category. The AMA invites the winner in this category to present the project to a broad spectrum of professionals at AMA’s own SENSOR+TEST trade-fair free of charge.”
The terms and conditions as well as application forms for participation in the AMA Innovation Award 2016 contest and the special Young Enterprise category as well as the brochure of submissions from previous years are available free of charge here.
The nominees and the winner of special award are to be announced at the Annual AMA Press Conference on 18th February 2016.
