Introducing Dataforth’s MAQ20 – A Modular Data Acquisition & Control System
Dataforth have utilised their expertise in high performance signal conditioning as a front-end for their MAQ20 data acquisition system. The MAQ20 is a compact, rugged and reliable system designed for anywhere from the laboratory to heavy industrial environments. Modbus communication protocol via Ethernet, USB or Serial (RS-232/485) allows for simple integration into many existing software packages.
A MAQ20 DAQ system consists of a communication module, a system backbone and your choice of I/O modules to measure temperature, strain, frequency or industry standard signals such as 4-20mA. Our thermocouple, RTD and strain gauge modules provide a direct sensor interface. All MAQ20 I/O modules provide individually configurable input ranges and alarms. The high density I/O also maximises channel count with minimum space requirement; you can fit up to 24 I/O modules – 384 channels – per MAQ20 DAQ system in a 19” rack. The MAQ20 data acquisition and control system is designed for industrial operating temperature ranges between -40°C and +85°C.
Dataforth’s ReDAQ Shape software is developed in-house and makes recording and visualising data simple with a low-cost user and developers licence fee. Partnering with IPEmotion, the MAQ20 also provides a feature rich data acquisition environment with data storage management, math, post processing, software PID and event sequencing which is ideal for test and measurement applications. Based on Modbus communication, the MAQ20 is also compatible with many industry standard software packages including DASYLab, LabVIEW and OPC.
