4D Systems expands with new factory in the Philippines

4D Systems today announced it will open a brand new factory in the Philippines in response to the ramp in demand from global customers for its intelligent display solutions,  as well as an increasing requirement for custom designs. The new facility will have capacity for contract manufacturing which will allow the company to build turnkey solutions for the assembly or sub-assembly of customers’ end products.

The new plant covers an area of over 2,000 square meters and will initially have two full surface mount technology lines with capacity for four million components daily, as well as handling PCB assembly, final assembly, testing and packaging. To accommodate future growth, space for two additional lines is available for quick extension of capacity.

“We are very excited to be opening this new facility as a result of the high demand for our display solutions that is driving exceptional growth,” said Atilla Aknar, CEO at 4D Systems. “We see many of our customers looking for bespoke designs and turnkey solutions for assembly, as well as our portfolio of display solutions and we can now offer a complete, tailored service that guarantees quality and reduced cost of manufacture. We are meeting an entirely new set of criteria that positions us as ideal partners for our global customers ahead of the competition.”

The new factory will have ISO9001 and other standard quality certifications and will be officially opened and in production from 2 March 2018.
