New 4/20mA loop-powered flameproof indicators
The new Fluidwell PID ratio flow controller F124 for closed loop applications is now available in ATEX and non hazardous versions.BFi OPTiLAS Ltd, a leading supplier of a wide range of sensors, will be demonstrating the new MS9000 accelerometer from Colibrys.
It is an extra small, high end product dedicated to applications in the field of inertial sensing. With excellent long term bias stability and an integrated temperature sensor suitable for the harsh environment, this new generation of products comes in a LCC20 (8.9mm x 8.9mm) ceramic package, some three times smaller than current sensors and in ranges from ±2g to ±200g. These sensors can operate over extended temperature ranges, with just a few milli g bias stability guaranteed over the extended lifetime.
BFi OPTiLAS also represent OFS (A Furukawa Company) who specialize in Optical Fibers. We will be available to discuss their geophysical fibers for harsh environments which have been optimized for the downhole environment. They use a dual coating system, of carbon and PYROCOAT. The Carbon provides a hermetic seal to the glass surface at all temperatures and protects against hydrogen ingression at up to 125 degrees C. This dramatically extends the fiber lifetime by stopping water-activated crack growth. The PYROCOAT layer is high temperature polyimide (300 degrees C).
ATEX products new to Scottish process industry
Burkert Fluid Control Systems will have their innovative Type 8650 EExia valve system integrating Burkert’s pneumatic solenoid valves with Siemens’ ET200iSP I/O modules, for ATEX Zones 1 and 21 and to IEC-Ex. This concept simplifies the installation of these separate, complex I/O devices, leading to big reductions in design costs and commissioning.
Burkert’s Type 8643 I/O box will be there, which incorporates Foundation Fieldbus protocol and will be joined soon by Profibus PA.
Other products will display Burkert’s extensive hazardous and safe area technology, including hygienic conductivity and non-glass pH electrodes.

Voltech’s new PM6000 Super Power Analyser offers high speed simultaneous sampling on all channels (up to 6) and wide bandwidth with high (0.02%) accuracy and huge data storage capacity.
The new PM1000+ single phase Power Analyser provides many of the features in a smaller single phase format.
Cameron Measurement Systems are proud to feature the Scanner 2000 and will be demonstrating its ModWorX™ Pro Software at Stand 707.
The Scanner 2000 microEFM has met the challenge to deliver flow computer functionality at chart recorder prices. Low price, ultra-low power requirements, and the capacity to measure oil, gas and liquids simultaneously give the Scanner 2000 a competitive edge over other flow measurement devices on the market todayAll users will benefit from the Scanner 2000's ease of use. A three-button keypad allows operators to configure basic parameters from the front panel, without a computer.
All other parameters are easily configured using the ModWorX Pro software.

Optical strain gauges are unbeatable for sustained load tests HBM's optical strain gauges (SG) now have an improved fatigue life; 10 million load cycles at an alternating strain of ±3.000µm/m can be attained. This makes the sensors unbeatable compared with available alternatives when sustained loading is tested, for example, on fibre-reinforced plastics at high alternating strain.Optical strain gauges are particularly suitable for measurement in potentially explosive areas and on high-current and high-voltage components. The relative wavelength variation resulting from a mechanical strain is linear over a strain range of more than ±10.000 µm/m. Based on fibre Bragg gratings, several sensors can be arranged inside a single glass fibre to significantly reduce installation costs.
