Trescal has acquired Teclabor, a calibration services provider based in Recife (Brazil). This is the third acquisition in Brazil, expanding Trescal’s geographical footprint to the State of Pernambuco. This acquisition has been completed with the support of Ardian, Trescal’s majority shareholder.
Founded in 1985, Teclabor is an accredited one-stop-shop calibration laboratory, with strong capabilities in liquid flow, volume, mass (scales), temperature and humidity domains. Teclabor employ 30 people, generating a turnover of 3,3 million Brazilian Reais (~€1.0 m), being predominantly active in the Food & Beverages sector.

With 270 people operating within 8 accredited laboratories (located in Recife, Bahia, Rio De Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Sao Paulo, Taubaté, Sorocaba, and Porto Alegre) and twelve accredited mobile laboratories deployed across Brazilian territories, bringing us closer to our customers every day.”
Last week, Trescal announced the acquisition of A+ Métrologie, a subsidiary of the Apave Group, a major player on the French test and measurement market.
Founded in 2000, A+ Métrologie has 14 multi-disciplined calibration laboratories spread across France employing 320 people (of which 250 engineers and technicians) and achieved a turnover of €27m in 2016.
This acquisition will allow customers of both companies, Trescal and A+ Métrologie, to benefit from many complementary features: broader offer of accredited calibration services, more extensive measurement capabilities and a greater geographical coverage.
