SENSOR+TEST 2019: Focus on process automation, alluring funding for startups

There is no way you can miss them at the SENSOR+TEST: The central community stands for focal themes or special exhibitor groups are appealing points of attraction for the visitors at the trade fair for sensor, measuring, and testing technology in Nuremberg.

Especially for startup enterprises, there is an outstanding and cost-effective opportunity for the first time to present new developments to an international audience of technical professionals  – and with government funding at that.

Special topic “Sensor and Measuring Technology for Process Automation”

The diversity of sensors and measuring devices for process technology has always been a core aspect of the SENSOR+TEST. Since the all-encompassing advent of digitalisation, extending to process automation as well, the demands on sensors and measuring systems have increased as greatly as their importance for the industry at large. Whether we look at newly developed measuring processes, self-monitoring sensor networks, or process-analysis systems with cloud and AI support, the special topic of the SENSOR+TEST 2019 offers suppliers and users the opportunity to participate in the innovation dialog on novel concepts, products, and solutions for this important area of application. Enterprises and institutes with specialised expertise in process technology can present their products and services with a low-cost full package at the prominent special forum “Sensor and Measuring Technology for Process Automation.”

Governmental Innovation Funding for Startups

Young enterprises often have more ideas than money. To facilitate the participation of startups at trade fairs in Germany, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) has initiated a grant program assuming up to 60% of the incurred costs for stand rent and assembly. The SENSOR+TEST is among the qualified fairs for the twelfth time. The funding is granted for participation at the community stand Innovation Made in Germany. Young enterprises located in Germany that present new developments in the area of sensor, measuring, or testing technology may participate. The startups should not be older than ten years, have over fifty employees, nor an annual turnover of more than ten million euros.

Special Stand “Vision Sensors and Systems”

Image processing also requires sensors and systems and these can be found at the SENSOR+TEST as well. Theses close association addresses the special stand “Vision Sensors and Systems” with particularly advantageous conditions for exhibitors in this specialised area of technology.

Other community stands are organised by research communities, such as Bayern Innovative, the Fraunhofer Institute, or the Strategic Partnership for Sensor Technology.
