Over the past year Hikvision has been rapidly gaining ground in the European machine vision market with it’s wide range of tier 1 compact MV cameras, smart cameras, block cameras, vision processing boxes and lens solutions.  Hikvision’s industrial machine vision cameras are high-quality devices delivering excellent image quality and pixel sensitivity in demanding applications such as electronic semiconductor fabrication, factory automation, bottle inspection and medical packaging inspection.

The latest camera models include the global shutter Sony Pregius sensors: IMX264, IMX267 and IMX304, with increased pixel sensitivity, improved picture quality in low light environments, and with global shutter technology minimising distortion and motion blur. Other sensors include the IMX183 for solar panel, PCB inspection and microscopy applications; the high resolution 20 MP Sony IMX183; and for low cost applications the SC130GS, Aptina AR0521, and IMX178 sensors.

The HikVision machine vision and robotics team have recently launched a further 15 new USB 3.0 housed machine vision cameras and 4 Board Level USB versions for limited space applications.

Hikvision’s MV-CA016-10UM/UC 1.6 MP, MV-CH089-10UM/UC 8.9 MP, and MV-CH120-10UM/UC 12 MP USB 3.0 Cameras all support auto exposure control and different exposure modes, user defined look-up tables (LUT) and gamma correction, hard and soft trigger synchronization and locking USB cable interface to prevent accidental unplugging of the device. The MV-CE200-10UM/UC 20 MP USB 3.0 Camera also features a rolling shutter sensor for ideal image and high cost performance; auto/manual gain adjustment, exposure time, white balance, LUT, gamma correction and binning andsupports custom ROI to increase frame rate by reducing resolution, Reverse X output; and 128MB on-board buffer for image transmission under Burst mode.

Complementing the range of cameras is the compact HikVision Vision Box PC, a fanless solid state vision processing platform and a complete range of high resolution compact and telecentric lenses.

For surveillance and traffic applications Hikvision have launched a range of 4 new 1080p60 resolution zoom block cameras and 2 new 4K resolution zoom block cameras.  These have 12x, 23x, 30x and 37x optical zoom with 12x digital zoom across all models.  All Cameras have a range of interface board providing easy connections for HDMI, HD-SDI, H.264/H.265 via ethernet and digital output via LVDS.  The cameras have VISCA and PELCO-D control interface formats.

Scorpion Vision are the Hikvision Machine Vision Distribution partner for UK and Ireland. We will be showing the fast expanding 2018/19 range of Hikvision product at the Sensors & Instrumentation show 2018 – the UK’s only dedicated exhibition for test, measurement and control. Please come along to the exhibition  and see us on stand B14.
