NAPIT EXPO celebrates success on the road

NAPIT EXPO… On the Road has proven popular with tradespeople all over the UK once again

Kicking off the tour in Worcester, the NAPIT EXPO team travelled north to south over the course of three months, updating trade professionals on the latest industry regulations and standards before closing the show in Southampton.

The seminars covered topics such as Consumer Units, RCDs, EICR code breakers, Smart Homes, Energy Storage and Certification & Documentation.

At some venues, Richard Townsend, senior engineer at the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), was on the panel to answer questions on the future of the Wiring Regulations, and what to expect in the upcoming 18th Edition.

Also, guest presenters from the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) were in attendance, giving a presentation on CDM and Risk Assessment which engaged and enlightened much of the audience.

Schneider Electric and Scolmore were also at each venue, showcasing their range of installation appliances.

NAPIT says the feedback received from the attendees of the show proved how successful the events were. For example, David Clarke of Emdave Electrical said: “NAPIT EXPO at Cobham was excellent. Well planned and excellently presented. Scolmore and Schneider complimented everything for me. It was a well spent four hours.”

Commenting on the success of the events, Mike Andrews, NAPIT Group chief executive, said: “I am very pleased with the response we have had from this year’s EXPO. All the attendees seemed to benefit and take something away from our expert led presentations which provided them with a heads up on industry regulations and standards. It was great to debate issues that affect our members day-to-day. Events like these help us to pass on important information which they can then apply into their working lives, ensuring the higher standards of NAPIT members.”
