Maidstone, Kent, UK – 3 December 2015 – Datateam Business Media Ltd has announced the acquisition of the sole rights and all assets of the Instrumentation Scotland & Offshore Systems show from Trident Exhibitions Ltd.
Taking place on 31 August to 1 September 2016 at the AECC in Aberdeen, Scotland, Instrumentation Scotland & Offshore Systems is an established and focused exhibition and a welcome addition to Datateam’s growing portfolio of exhibitions and conferences that specifically addresses manufacturing in Scotland.
All existing agreements and contracts remain in place and will be honoured by Datateam. The company will be implementing a comprehensive cross-media marketing campaign, including advertisements and editorial coverage in its Connecting Industry portfolio of 12 leading industrial magazines, websites and associated social media channels, as well as working with industry partners to ensure maximum exposure and coverage for the event.
This news follows the very successful Sensors & Instrumentation exhibition which took place at the NEC, Birmingham in September and enjoyed an increase in both exhibitor and visitor numbers. The response received was extremely positive from all involved, with exhibitor re-bookings currently 75 per cent up year-on-year, providing a very solid platform and assured future for the success of this event.
The same team will now be working on the Instrumentation Scotland & Offshore Systems exhibition. This includes Helen Thewlis, former managing director of Trident, who has been retained by Datateam to work across both events, providing continuity and a wealth of exhibition experience.
Kathryn Ambrose, publishing and event director said: “This acquisition is taking place at what I believe is a very exciting time for the buoyant sensors, instrumentation and offshore sectors. I want to thank all the exhibitors for their continued custom and ongoing support for this unique event. I am also delighted that Helen Thewlis, formally of Trident Exhibitions, will be joining us to provide continuity and ensure a smooth transition. Helen is highly regarded within the industry and brings with her a wealth of exhibition experience. I’m confident that with her help and the excellent team we have in place, the 2016 event will be extremely successful.”
Helen Thewlis said: “I am delighted that this exhibition has been acquired by Datateam and very happy that I will still be involved. This exhibition is an established show in Scotland and I am confident that Datateam will take it to the next level with the support of its portfolio of industry publications such Automation, Design Solutions, Instrumentation, and Process & Control. I look forward to working with the many exhibitors and contacts I have got to know over the years and want to thank them all for their continued support.”
Located at the heart of the offshore industry in Aberdeen, Instrumentation Scotland & Offshore Systems brings together the many companies who supply products and services specific to the offshore sector in addition to more traditional industries representing processing, power generation, paper, distilling, water and waste, and marine engineering in north-east Scotland. The event will provide both visitors and exhibitors with an excellent way to network within their own region, and the chance to understand each other’s requirements and needs. The exhibition will also feature a free seminar programme with contributions from notable industry experts.
