Cambridge-based sensor company sees sharp increase in export demand

Zettlex is seeing increased demand for IncOders from Germany, France and USA. Mark Howard, Zettlex general manager, said: “We are seeing a rapid growth in demand for our inductive encoders from overseas markets. Exports now account for more than half of our total revenues. In particular, Germany is now our fastest growing overseas market. As Germany is one of the world’s largest and most sophisticated markets for position sensors, we are delighted that our IncOder products have stimulated such a positive response from this market.”

Zettlex has further expanded its IncOder range of precision angle encoders, with the range now including a choice of more than 500,000 product variants, including new versions with improved accuracies, more connector options and more electrical output options (including a 0-10V option). The company also customises IncOders to suit specific OEM requirements.

IncOders are suitable for precision measurements in harsh environments such as industrial, medical, defence and aerospace equipment – where electrical contacts, optical or capacitive sensors may prove unreliable or where traditional inductive sensors are too bulky or expensive.
